The Whitsunday Islands is sited between south of Bowen and to the north of Mackay some 900 kilometers north of Brisbane. It is collection of various sizes of continental islands off the central coast of Queensland, Australia.

The traditional owners of the area are the Ngaro People and the Gia People.

The Whitsunday islands are one of the most fascinating yachting and tourist destination for travelers to Queensland and the Great Barrier Reef.


The tracks across the islands are connected by seaways matched to kayaking, sailing or power boating.. Islands have large resorts, offering a wide variety of accommodation and activities. There are the tranquil spas to relax and enjoy. Whitsunday also offers Great Barrier Reef tours for many of their visitors

There are many other ways to enjoy the barrier reef, and one of the best is through the air. To think that the amazing coral arrangements are just as amazing from the air as they are from under the sea is amazing.
