The campus renewal project at the St. Louis Children’s Hospital required dozens of dedicated construction workers to be completed, and there was one admirer across the street who let them know much much they were appreciated…
Iron workers were used to seeing children waving at them from the windows as they worked, but one little girl named Vivian waved to them each and every day. She made it a point to not stop waving until one of them waved back at her!
This was a great way to take her mind off the chemotherapy she underwent daily to fight the Leukemia she was diagnosed with. Her mother is terrified of losing her little girl, but remains hopeful that Vivian will beat cancer.
One day, Vivian and her mother went to the window and saw the iron workers pointing at a specific area of their construction which read “get well soon.”
Vivian was finally able to meet the men she’d waved to each day, and they didn’t come empty handed! The constructions workers are aware that Vivian is tougher than them, and continue to pray that she makes it through!
